On December 11 (Saturday) at 8:15 p.m., the second of our 2021 Fall Classical Guitar Concerts will be held, with a performance by one of the greatest interpreters of today: Zoran Dukić.

The concert will take place in the Church of the Virgen del Carmen (C. San Miguel, 44, Badalona) and admission will be free until full capacity is reached, although at the end of the concert you can contribute with a voluntary donation.

On November 1, we celebrated in the Church of the Carmelite Fathers, in Badalona, the first of two classical guitar concerts that our Guitar Association has scheduled this fall.

The guest artist was the young Mexican guitarist Abel García Ayala, an emerging talent on the international guitar scene, who performed a program with pieces from different periods, origins and styles, including a piece by Joan Manén, in harmony with the commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of that great Catalan composer.

As an interesting curiosity, it is worth mentioning that he also interpreted the transcription for guitar of three "pirekuas", songs from the Purépecha culture, a pre-Columbian empire in Mexico, from which this interpreter is a descendant on his mother's side.

Abel García Ayala is only 25 years old, but he showed great technical quality and exquisite musical sensitivity.

“Abel has an innate ability for music and art, which he inherits from a very long family tradition ... Thanks to his passion and dedication he has achieved an enviable musicality, sensitivity and virtuosity."
