TASTING CONCERT

CLOSING OF THE FESTIVAL

Sunday June 18th, 2023 · 7:00 p.m.

Centre Cultural El Carme
C. Francesc Layret, 78-82, Badalona

The last event of this Festival was a very special concert: we listened for the first time to the sound of the guitars that had been on display for three days in homage to José Luis Romanillos.

THE TASTING CONCERT IDEA

The Tasting Concert was a sound tasting of the instruments in the exhibition. Excellent guitarists have offered their talent in a disinterested way to collaborate with this idea and to provide a beautiful culmination of the Festival.

At 7 p.m. on Sunday 18 June, the exhibition cases containing the guitars were opened one by one. Each guitar was given to a guitarist, who played a piece with it. At the end of the piece, the instrument was removed from the exhibition and returned to its maker. At the end of the concert the exhibition cases were empty, so the Festival was over.

This tasting concert was very well received by all the performers and thirteen took part in it on a voluntary basis. We would like to thank them for their efforts and highlight the great support that their collaboration has given to the Festival.

In this closing concert we also counted on the presence and collaboration of all the luthiers, authors of the instruments that made this tribute to José Luis Romanillos, their master, possible.

Below you can see the guitarists who performed in this tasting concert and some photos and videos of the performances of all of them.
